MS Office Beta Notes This is a side-blog where I intend to keep all of my notes from Beta testing new versions of Office. This will keep them all in one place for future reference. I started this with Office 2003, and am bringing it back for the 2007 version. This is not an official Microsoft site, this is just the ramblings of one IT guy.

Free version Charlie left me a comment earlier today and I have verified it by installing the free version of Office 2003 Professional tonight. It does seem that the Pro version that you get is a Home-User EULA and does not allow for the product to be installed on both a desktop and laptop with the purchase of only one license. The OneNote version that comes along with it does, so it's not like it's just an oversight in the language. So, technically, it's not really the full version I would have expected. My question is, do the retail versions say the same thing? If this is par for the course in 2003 then I guess it's a much a full version as anything else is, if not, there was some dishonesty about it. Still, it's free, so it's hard to complain too much. :)
