MS Office Beta Notes This is a side-blog where I intend to keep all of my notes from Beta testing new versions of Office. This will keep them all in one place for future reference. I started this with Office 2003, and am bringing it back for the 2007 version. This is not an official Microsoft site, this is just the ramblings of one IT guy.

Infopath rocking Scoble today pointed to Joel Semeniuk's post "InfoPath Rocks". I downloaded and installed the technical refreshes for Office and OneNote last night. No problems seen, yet. The Office one was 134MB, so I would really have to recommend you don't try this when you're in a hurry, eh? I still need to grab the ones for InfoPath and Publisher. It was late when I started this procedure, I should have known better and got an earlier start on it, but I was surfing for a new backpack to keep all my photo equipment in while I'm traveling. Toolbar Someone sent me an email last night asking about the Office Toolbar. I remember looking for information on that on the preview site a while back, and the simple answer was no, it is not included in 2003. The thinking, as I recall, was that with XP having the ability to create your own menus and toolbars already built into the OS, there was no point in still putting out the office toolbar. Of course since I'm using the beta on a 2000 machine, it doesn't really help me any... Monday, July 07, 2003
