Life with wireless

Yes, I did pick up the wireless card and get the wireless router working within the existing network. I’m blogging this from the bedroom right now before I hit the sack. That is very cool. Still have some odd behavior that I need to research a bit before I’ll feel 100% comfortable that everything is working the way it should be (like why, after I shut down my desktop PC, did the wireless connection disappear until I rebooted the laptop?), but it’s fun to be able to be online without having to give up access to other parts of the house, or the front porch.

It’s all about geek comfort..*L*

Well no, actually I don’t hate April 1, I have a good reason to love April 1, but I hate trying to read RSS feeds or even news stories because you never know what to believe. On top of that, not many people actually do anything remotely funny as an April Fool’s joke anymore. There…

How can the same person in the office leave his PC logged on and Outlook open while he’s not even in the office, and then two days later sit in his office all day long without even opening Outlook? What is the thinking process, is there a thinking process? I don’t understand.. Of course, I’ll…

  • SUMPRODUCT

Yes, it’s an Excel function. One I knew about, kind of, but had never needed to use, until today. Luckily, for all of us who were working on this formula, I found this page using Google and it made for an easy to follow example of summing the data in cells that matched mulitple criteria….

  • Fake MS Worm

We spent the day down at Falls Creek State Park here in Tennessee, pics to come later, I’m sure. On the tech front, someone at work got one of those fake Microsoft emails with the “installer.exe” attached and forwarded it to me. Luckily for me, when he did that I was able to verify that…
