It’s official!

Angela ordered the Dell Axim X5/400Mhz for my Christmas present. This is pretty much going against my very firmly held belief about all things tech related. That is, never be an early adopter, let someone else be the guinea pig. But in this case, the pricing/specs combination on the Dell PocketPC make it pretty hard to resist when compared to all the other options out there on the market right now. At least for a first time PDA user, like myself.

Estimated ship date is Dec. 11, and I’m under strict orders not to play with it until Christmas, so reviews will have to wait. 🙂

  • Apologies

Apparently, the switch over to the new version of Blogger also kicked out a bunch of emails to the subscription list. As far as I can tell all the emails that didn’t get sent out while BloggerPro was having some issues in late May-early June are all being sent out now. I’m sorry for cramming…

  • Short day

Short day today, we’re just working a half-day and then I’m off for the rest of the week! Of course, Angelahas been the one battling a cold/flu type thing all week and she has to work a full day today and Friday, so I wish there was some way I could switch with her and…

  • That was exhausting!

I just spent somewhere in the vicinity of 20 minutes trying to help one of our users understand something. You see, while this particular individual is a relative genius when it comes to working in his field, he has very little knowledge of technology and the simplest PC tasks are often very difficult for him…

  • Fax Laws

Interesting article on the latest twist in the fax laws. I’m pretty torn about this issue. As the IT person for a small business I can tell you that trying to prepare for the day when we can’t fax anyone without their written permission has been burdensome, to the point where we probably won’t do…

  • More problems

Yeah I had to take the referrer script down again. At least now I know why the results keep stretching the table width to ridiculous proportions. If a website does not specify a page name, the script prints out the entire URL. Since there’s no space in the URL the table doesn’t try to wrap…
