Office 2007 Beta

Yup, downloaded it last night. Took until this evening to get it activated. Highly recommend you disable the AVG Outlook plugin that scans incoming email BEFORE you fire up Outlook 2007 to download your email. The email will come in with no content if you let AVG scan it, there is no way to get it back if that’s the only copy you have of the email. Disabling the scanner will bring in new messages with the content visible, ones that were scanned are gone. (Luckily for me, the only messages involved had already been read on my blackberry.)

I’ll have much more to say about Office 2007, I just wanted that bit of important information out there ASAP. In fact, I’ll be relaunching the Office Beta Notes blog sometime in the next few days, where I’ll do nothing but talk about Office. I need to do some reconfiguring of the template to make it fit in with the rest of the site first. Look for a link here by the end of the weekend for sure.
