I hate today

Well no, actually I don’t hate April 1, I have a good reason to love April 1, but I hate trying to read RSS feeds or even news stories because you never know what to believe. On top of that, not many people actually do anything remotely funny as an April Fool’s joke anymore. There were a few exceptions, but mostly, they were just lame retreads of the same thing people have been blogging for years on this day, which are just on-line versions of the same things people have been saying for years. Blah.

Oh, yeah, the reason I love April 1? Angela and I went on our first date April 1, 2000. We went to see High Fidelity, with John Cusack, and then went to grab some dinner at the nearby Appleebee’s.

Naturally, we went there for dinner tonight as well, but we didn’t pull out the High Fidelity DVD. 😉

This is going to be a busy holiday weekend. Not so much because of the holiday, although we will be doing Thanksgiving dinner with my family, but because of all of the projects I have lined up to do! Assuming the UPS delivery date is correct and I get it today, I’ll be installing a…

Prime example last week of why patching is sometimes a whole lot more complicated than it seems to be from the outside. Tuesday was patch day. Scoble pointed to the news on the Blogger Blog about the new Word add-in that lets you create posts in Word and post them directly to Blogger. That’s a sweet idea. I’ll definitely be checking that out! Tags: BloggerforWord Follow these topics: Uncategorized

  1. I agree wholeheartedly. I have spent most of the day reminding myself it is April Fools Day. Really impacts the productivity.

At least it occurred on a weekend, so we won’t have to deal with this during the work week.

  2. I’m glad we didn’t turn out to be a joke or maybe we are but we’re both in on it.

    Love you!!

  3. Congratulations to you both.

Eeye’s website (a security company) was replaced with a hacked page saying that the site had been compromised and free keys were available for the software. When you clicked the link it pointed you to the real site with the free links.
Blink looks pretty good although it pops up messages like crazy when you first switch it on.
