Sometimes I’m such a dork…

I’ve spent hours trying to install and configure this so Angela could share files back and forth between her PC and her Mac. It seemed simple enough, but like I said, after hours spent trying various things to get the software to mount a Windows share I finally gave up and looked for other options. The most obvious ones seemed to involve upgrading to Jaguar, which has the SMB service to do exactly that, but not wanting to spend more money on this, and hoping to have something in place tonight, I continued looking. Finally I stumbled upon the most obvious answer. I setup the Mac as an FTP server and FTP’d to it from the PC. That took all of 2 minutes to configure. Why didn’t I think of that before?

Oh the things I could have done with those hours…
