Hardware afterall

Turns out the laptop is a hardware issue afterall, only not with the mouse or the touchpad, seems to be a motherboard issue. Compaq is picking it up this afternoon and taking it in to be fixed under warranty. Thank God for warranties, I didn’t really want to replace the motherboard myself, too many other things to do. 🙂

Now I’ve got to get files copied over to the spare laptop for that person to use for about a week, I’m sure he’ll be thrilled about that!

By the way, I couldn’t help but notice all of the MSKB articles and other support sites who had the following instructions for what to do when your mouse isn’t working. “Double Click the Mouse icon in the Control Panel”. Think about that for a minute…:)

Bring on the NHL playoffs, there is seriously nothing like them! Follow these topics: Uncategorized

Thanks for all the suggestions on a new name. Turns out that rather than just go with one of those suggestions, I’m leaning toward combining two of them and thusly, giving away two PC World subscriptions, assuming that Toby, who left one of those suggestions, will take the time to send me an email so…

Doc and the rest of the Cox Cable systems users seem to be having problems. The lesson here, never trust the pretty box, always go with a company that is willing to just give you the settings you need and not install software all over the place! That being said, Time Warner did the same…

It seems that research has concluded that Guinness bubbles do, indeed, sink. I’m glad we’ve got that settled! I hate to think of all the people out there tonight, drinking down their Guinness not knowing whether those bubbles are sinking or if it just looks that way! Follow these topics: Uncategorized
