You gotta love it!

Don’t you just love when your internet connection goes flaky and you get an email out to your ISP and they respond with “We’re having some trouble with our proxy server, we’ll let you know when it’s working properly”, and then you find that the connection has been OK for hours, but no note from them? Yeah I’m always in the habit of checking it for myself and not waiting on them, and I’m glad they got it fixed, but really, wouldn’t it be nice if they actually meant it when they said “we’ll let you know”?

I got an email last night that was similar to this post on Bob Parson’s blog about the NITA decision to forbid private domain registrations of the .us domains which, for once, was a company actually sending me an email that interested me! It really has. There’s just been so much going on at work, and outside work with doctor visits (nothing serious, no worries), board meetings, website updates, etc. But now we’re off the Vegas for 5 days of forgetting that I even have a job! When syndicating to third party sites, ask that that your content…

    LindowsCD

Looks like Lindows has released a bootable CD version. They’re charging $29.95 for the CD’s. Funny thing is, this seems an awful lot like Knoppix, and that didn’t cost me anything to download. 🙂 So, is there any major difference between the two, all you Linux experts?
