Monday morning

Oh it’s going to be a good week, I can tell. How? Here’s the omens:

I was greeted by a fellow employee’s questions about his home computer first thing this morning. Really, FIRST thing. Before I had even gotten to my office, let alone turned on my computer. Literally while I was walking down the hall with my laptop bag over my shoulder and key to my office in my hand, this person was hitting me with computer questions. Then, when I finally did settle into my office and turn my PC on, I was greeted by an email with a .pif attachment claiming to be from support@microsoft.com. Nice try, but I’ll be deleting that. Let’s hope anyone else in the building who got it did the same…

I’m ready to go back to bed.

  • Novel idea

Here’s a novel idea for your non-technical friends, and one I just came up with while having a discussion with a coworker: So you have a friend who has an old PC and wants rid of it. They don’t want to toss it in the trash, obviously, they want to drop it at a recycling…
