Blogger survey

Blogger is currently running a survey of it’s users. There are questions about you, your blogging habits, how you started blogging and whether you’ve told others about it, rating things you’d like to be able to do easier and about using news aggregators. Pretty run of the mill stuff, only took me about 5 minutes. I think they should have given you the option to write-in features you want but I guess we already have the ability to put in a feature request in their support system, so I could see not putting it in there. If you use blogger, you’ll see the link on the page where you can edit or post to your blog.

Not sure what Google is trying to get at with this survey but it’ll be interesting to keep an eye on.

On Kevin’s suggestion in the comments, I’m giving Google Reader another try. I tried the old version and really didn’t like it, but I decided to give it another shot after so many people talked it up so much after they upgraded. We’ll see how it goes. The one thing I’m not going to change…

  • This may become an interesting summer project

Listening to In The Trenches while having lunch at my desk, I find myself intrigued greatly by Rob Whaley’s Admin to Admin segment on Uniform Server. Of course, the real question I should be asking is why can you not put the blackberry down for awhile? Seriously, relax in…

  • Outlook Personal Folder backup tool

Now this might be an interesting thing to install on PC’s here at the office. Not because there aren’t already super-simple ways to backup your personal folders, (just close Outlook and copy your .pst folder to the network on a regular basis, for example..) but because I can set it to remind people to backup…

  • On-line applications

I think this post pretty much sums out why using on-line apllications makes me nervous, even though I do use quite a few, but I take careful steps to make sure I have backups of everything that’s on-line and don’t share anything with an on-line application that I wouldn’t want you all to know about….
