Three day weekend

Three day weekend? Excellent!

Ice/Sleet/Snow and bitter cold all weekend leaving you pretty much cooped up in the house? Not so excellent!

I have managed to get some things done around the house, do a little blogroll cleaning, played some NHL 2K2, watched both football games yesterday, and just generally relax while Angela’s out of town. That was the goal, to get a little relaxation in, to try and shake the grumpy mood that last week left me in. Mission accomplished! Unfortunately she won’t be back until tonight, and I’m running out of things to do. (A shower would probably be good though, before she gets home…LOL)

Yesterday afternoon, the company that acts as our ISP at work disappeared from the face of the earth. OK not really, but it seemed that way for all intents and purposes. Mark, over at spudlets put together a short list of snappy comebacks , defined as: Often, when a poor client in distress calls, they will typically start with, “I know you’re real busy, but …” As a service for helpdesk geeks like me, I have listed the snappy comebacks you wish you could give but…

  • First Day

Not only was today my first day at the new job, but it was also rollout day for a new document management system firm-wide. Yes, over 300 people had to deal with coming into the office and having to work in a different environment than the one they left Friday. That meant a whole lot…
