Busy, busy..

Good grief. So many things needed tweaked or replaced or just fixed this week that I only really had time to put out fires up until today. Today, in between doing month-end database chores I’m trying to go back and document everything that happened earlier in the week in the helpdesk tracking DB, purchase some stuff to replace the emergency spare parts I like to have laying around that were called into duty this week (monitors mostly), do write-ups and document the product demo I sat through yesterday afternoon, answer email that got set aside during the week, and maybe, if I’m very good and very lucky, I’ll have an empty “to-do” list by 5 so I can start over fresh on Monday.

So if there’s been tech news out there, I assure you, I haven’t read the details enough to comment. 🙂

So did your office recognize Systems Administrator Appreciation Day? Someone asked me earlier today if they could create a distribution list in the Contacts folder of Outlook and then move it to someone else’s Outlook. • One way to help burnout

After all that discussion about burnout among help desk folks, today I had the rare experience of getting to do something different. • The new media

Since it’s right down the street, and it’s a center of some rather large media activity today, I took our digital camera over to the Statehouse at lunch to try and get some better pictures than we were able to get last night during the rain. (Don’t worry, unless Angela wants to blog these, I…
