The weekend

I need a weekend. Well no, actually, I need to go back to being on vacation. That was fun, this is not.

By the way, the big project for the normally slow summer around here has me sitting on the task force to develop an ethics policy for the organization. While I won’t be writing much about it, it should be somewhat interesting. But not at all what I would call fun. I’ve been back a week, not even quite the full week, and all I want to do is go back to being hundreds of miles away from this office. That can’t be good, can it? 🙂

I saw mention of a new Windows XP Powertoy over the weekend, so when I saw SyncToy was available this morning I grabbed a copy for the XP desktop at the office. My hope was that this would ease the struggle I currently have with OneNote. Notably, I like to keep a copy of my…

I’ve been trying to help my brother-in-law setup comments on his new blog. He’s got a new job and decided he would start blogging about working with Cisco stuff. I uploaded all the aspcomments stuff to his site, and emailed him the cut/paste codes that needed to be added to the template. Those of you…

  • My own thoughts

Regarding my previous question from the weekend about where you draw the line between keeping up a good relationship with your users and letting them walk all over you with non-work technology issues, I would mostly err on the side of letting them walk over you. There’s definitely a line that needs to be drawn…
