Philadelphia Freedom

We’re off in the morning (A 5:30 flight, ugh!) for a long weekend of site-seeing, exploring, photographing and eating our way around Philadelphia, with a one-day side trip up to N.Y.C.

Needless to say, my involvement in the blogosphere will be minimal until Weds. or so, but I’ll be sure to have details, and photos galore when we get back. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Update; 8:45 AM Saturday. Using the free wifi at the Columbus Airport, original flight got cancelled, awaiting our rerouted flight to Pittsburgh and then a connection to Philly. We left the house at 4, for a 5:30 flight, 4 1/2 hours later we’re still in Port Columbus. You gotta love flying!

My wife, ultimate PR person that she is, documented my attempt at feeding the lorikeets with her pictures. (Start here and continue in the photostream.) • It’s 2006!

Hard to believe another year has passed. So many things have changed that it’s hard to imagine what I was doing last year at this time was only a year ago, but at the same time, it’s also hard to believe this is the 5th new year I’ve welcomed in with my wife since our…

It really has. There’s just been so much going on at work, and outside work with doctor visits (nothing serious, no worries), board meetings, website updates, etc. But now we’re off the Vegas for 5 days of forgetting that I even have a job! I’m taking the laptop though, taking lots of photos, and I…

  • OneNote in the news

I read Ed Bott’s article, Microsoft’s most misunderstood application and found myself nodding in agreement with a lot of what Ed had to say. It is rather sad that MS will only be bundling OneNote in the Home and Student Edition of Office 2007, I think giving folks the appearance that OneNote is a “student”…

  • Memo

I’m tired of writing memos. I think I’m currently constructing my 8th memo since Thursday, covering everything from staff interview notes about ethics, to email attachment policy, to requests for funds. You think working in IT is all about the glamour of putting PC’s and servers together, solving huge technical issues, etc.? Nope, most of…
