Cleveland rocks

I’ve been meaning to write about my time in Cleveland the past couple of days, but I just never seemed to find the time.

On Thursday, had a great time spending the evening at the In The Trenches Cleveland Geek Dinner. It was late, very late, by the time I turned in for the night. Despite that, I was up early to spend the morning photographing the Cuyahoga Valley National Park,

Morning on the Cuyahoga River

then grabbing a quick nap and heading out to catch the Indians/Royals game at Jacob’s Field.

Scoreboard

After a thrilling Indians win in the ninth inning, it was to the hotel and to bed in order to get on the road in the morning. After a quick stop to say hello to family on the way to Columbus I arrived with about 20 minutes to spare before we hit the road about an hour out of town for a party with some of Angela’s coworkers.

Needless to say, this is the first chance I’ve gotten to upload some pics and write about the experience. More pics of all 3 Cleveland events are available on Flickr.

That’s a good sign, right? 🙂 Anyway, I’m way behind on…

  • I hate ticketmaster

Since Angela had other plans this morning, it fell to me to hop online at 10AM to order her a couple of tickets to see the Dixie Chicks in June. No problem, it shouldn’t be that big a deal to order a couple of tickets from Ticketmaster, right? I’ve done it before for hockey tickets,…

As cool as Gmail is, there are some things that leave me frustrated with it. Here’s a short list of things I’d really like to see: – Give me an option to export contacts! Or, what would be even nicer, let me sync my Outlook contacts with Gmail contacts. Having started on Gmail before it…

  • Trip to the Wilds

We got to take a safari tour of The Wilds yesterday. We had been a few years back, but armed with some better camera equipment and a free pass to the extended safari, we were really excited to get out there and shoot some wildlife photos. It was quite fun. The highlight of the extended…
