Cleveland rocks

I’ve been meaning to write about my time in Cleveland the past couple of days, but I just never seemed to find the time.

On Thursday, had a great time spending the evening at the In The Trenches Cleveland Geek Dinner. It was late, very late, by the time I turned in for the night. Despite that, I was up early to spend the morning photographing the Cuyahoga Valley National Park,

Morning on the Cuyahoga River

then grabbing a quick nap and heading out to catch the Indians/Royals game at Jacob’s Field.

Scoreboard

After a thrilling Indians win in the ninth inning, it was to the hotel and to bed in order to get on the road in the morning. After a quick stop to say hello to family on the way to Columbus I arrived with about 20 minutes to spare before we hit the road about an hour out of town for a party with some of Angela’s coworkers.

Needless to say, this is the first chance I’ve gotten to upload some pics and write about the experience. More pics of all 3 Cleveland events are available on Flickr.

Yup, the wife is off for a long weekend before starting her new job, so I’ll be home alone this weekend. And, of course, we all know what that means. Playing with Techie stuff! I did get the Red Hat 8.0 iso’s downlaoded (all 5 of them) and 4 of the 5 have been burnt to CD, so I should probably get an attempt at installing on the new machine in this weekend. Tentatively, this is scheduled for tomorrow night, after dinner at my parent’s house. The weekend has…
