The rest of the story

My wife, ultimate PR person that she is, documented my attempt at feeding the lorikeets with her pictures. (Start here and continue in the photostream.)

She, however, neglected to point out the worst part, the part that had complete strangers giving me pitiful looks and words of sympathy:

Gross

Yeah that is what you think it is on my back below the lorikeet. This is the thanks I get for feeding him. Nice.

  • Reruns rock!

I never thought I’d actually have reason to think that reruns rock, but yesterday Call for Help, the TechTV show, aired a rerun of the show where they did a story on Evan Williams from Blogger. This is also the show that came with a follow up story about Chris Pirillo’s favorite blogs, in which…

  • Spyware Info

Not that the newsletter isn’t always useful, but I just read the latest Spyware Info and I highly recommend it. It’s got a little bit of everything, including bits about RFID tags, fake spyware tools, SBC’s appalling behavior in California, and a good argument for privacy rights in general. Good stuff.. Update: There’s been an…

I tell you, working for a larger organization, supporting 10 times the number of users I used to support and supporting a wider variety of tools, sure keeps you on your toes. This week I spent time battling a spyware infection, troubleshooting Word macros, Excel formulas, PowerPoint graphics, Outlook options, printer connections, and Acrobat Reader…

Lots of discussion about this post from yesterday going on around various places. Notably Geek News Central and Joy. To follow up Joy’s point, she’s right. I’m not going to sit here and tell you one version of software is better hands down, because it’s all relative. MS stuff is better for me in my…
