Display Fusion

Using different backgrounds for each of my dual monitors has been  something I’d been thinking about for awhile now, and finally had this post on the How To Geek about Display Fusion brought it right to the front of my mind.

Obviously, I had to try it out. So I’ve just downloaded it and set both monitors to display different photos I took in Chicago this week. Cool.

Of course, when I’m sitting here I don’t see the desktop much, so we’ll have to see if those brief moments, in addition to the shortcut keys to move windows around, are worth using resources to have this running all the time. So far, it doesn’t seem to be slowing things down at all, but you never know.

In the back of my mind recently, I’ve been thinking about my D50, and when it would be time to replace it. A couple of things have brought this to my mind, one being the fact that if I was going to continue using it as my main camera, I need to get it professionally…

This weekend, in between bouts of digging out from the snow, I decided to give Google Calendar Sync a try. I had been using Gsyncit to synchromize my Google Calendar with my Outlook, but I was interested to see if I could use this instead to synch my home Outlook calendar with Google, as well…
