Newsletter roundup

A couple of interesting things seen in newsletters today. First there’s today’s Spyware Info Weekly which talks about accusations of reverse engineering and fraud among different anti-spyware apps. Interesting stuff, I think we’d all do well to make sure we aren’t using a fake spyware killer.

Then, from today’s LangaList comes a pointer to Fred’s InformationWeek column about white-box, or generic, PC’s as compared to name brand PC’s. Good stuff.

It apparently gives you the hosting location of the site you’re on and lets you easily report phishing sites. Anyone been using this and have any feedback on how well it works? I…
