Excuses

OK, it’s an excuse, I know. But you know those projects I was going to work on last night? They really relied on having an internet connection to accomplish most of what I wanted to do. Unfortunately, RoadRunner did not see fit to provide a working internet connection! I’ve done the support email thing, since I know it’s nothing from my router in that’s causing the problem, it’s from their modem out. I suppose if it’s not working tonight we’ll do the phone support thing, but man I really, really hate doing that with them!

In the meantime, it’s dial-up for the bare necessities and catching up with email and stuff during lunch at work. I won’t even attempt a Movable Type upgrade over dial-up!

Back at work again this morning. Hoping that it won’t be as insane as yesterday. With two new people starting and needing to be introduced to the network layout, policies and procedures I knew it was going to be a busy one. What I didn’t count on was various email accounts not working for times…

  • IT Crowd

I finally got some time to watch the first two episodes of the IT Crowd over at BBC4. It’s pretty funny stuff and while most of it is farce there’s just enough truth to it to make your typical IT folks nod with familiarity. When Moss asks Roy “Did she continue talking to you AFTER…
