Consumer Reports

Related to the last post, I found a copy of the latest issue of Consumer Reports in the office and took a peek at their ratings. They rate a Gateway number 1, Toshiba 2nd, IBM 3rd and a Dell 4th, with the Dell being the “best buy” because it’s 400-600 dollars cheaper than the others. Pretty much follows what I’ve been hearing in the comments and what I was thinking, although the Gateway being top of the list surprised me a little.

Thanks to everyone who’s commented so far, and keep ’em coming! 🙂

All of this in one issue. If you’re not subscribed,…

After a planned three-day weekend and an un-planned illness caused me to also miss Friday, making for a long 4 day weekend, I returned to the office this morning to find that nothing’s broken. That’s a good thing. There was something broken on Friday, as someone decided that Friday, without me being around, would be…

I have only used Thunderbird for about two days when I noticed that version 0.4 was available over the weekend. I don’t know whether it’s better, I was still figuring out what was in 0.3 so I don’t really know what’s new, but I downloaded it and replaced the 0.3. Consider this your head’s up…
