Palm question

So Angela’s parents were staying with us this weekend, and her dad brought his Palm with him. Now, ordinarily he uses this to sync notes and other things and he hasn’t, in the short time he’s had this one, made any attempts to use the built-in wireless. Since we have wireless running around the house, we thought it would be a good opportunity to show him how to use it. Only one problem, that took some time to figure out, the Palm’s default settings are to use a VPN connection. The only way to get it to connect to our wifi network was to go through a number of option screens until I finally found the option to disable VPN. What’s up with that? Is that a default Palm setting or something specific to this manufacturer? And why is it a default? Just the curious ramblings of a non-Palm user..

If you want a personal update on where things are with me this week, go here. I think you’ll see why I haven’t been blogging much at all lately, and may not be for a while. I did, in the midst of it all, catch this little story about MS cutting the price for Office…

Now that I’ve probably gotten that song stuck in your head for the rest of the weekend, (and mine!!!) I was struck this morning by feedback from fellow bloggers who, it turns out, I have something in common with! First came the comment from Gary Petersen that he discovered blogging at Gnomedex last year too!…
