Basketball Jones…

I met up with my wife for lunch today. The food was provided free by the East Tennessee State Alumni Association. She’s an alum. The team is staying two blocks from my work, which is where they had their pregame pep rally type event this morning. They are in town to take on Cincinnati in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

I’m not an alum but I will be rooting hard for ETSU this afternoon. (In between my busy work projects, of course *wink, wink* *nudge, nudge*) I’ll be rooting for them because, well it will make my wife happy if they win, they just gave me a free lunch, being an Ohio State fan, saying “Go Bucks” and rooting against Cincy comes pretty naturally anyway, even if it is “Bucs” (Buccaneers) instead of “Bucks” (Buckeyes), and did I mention the free food, and the happy wife? Yeah, you see what I’m saying…

Go Bucks Bucs!

Yesterday on my way to Gulfport, I made a stop at the Mississippi Vietnam Memorial in Ocean Springs. Since they build submarines not too far from there, there is also a new submariners memorial on the site. Part of that Memorial lists all the submarines that the US has ever lost and how many men…

  • Bad omen?

With everything that needs to go on today, should I consider it a bad omen that while I was in a co-worker’s office working on a printer, part of the ceiling fell down? Granted it happend all the way across the office from where either of us were, but it was still odd. We both…

  • Am I a bad person?

Is it wrong to take so much pleasure from finding the errors in a PowerPoint presentation that was done at our Board Meeting earlier this week? It seems sort of mean, yet with every error I find, I laugh a little more… Let this be a lesson to you, when you’re recycling an old presentaion…

I spent a little more time knocked out from the Vicodin this past weekend than I planned to, but I started the process of getting the pictures loaded up on Flickr, so if you’re a visitor to my Flickr page, it’ll keep growing and growing throughout the week and probably into next week as well….

  • Calling it quits

Looks like Brad is leaving the blogging world behind. I can’t say that I’m all that surprised. When I met him here in Columbus a few weeks back I could feel the time constraints of being a husband and father, working and going to school weighing on him. Maybe not blogging will free up some…

  • Back to work again

I was hoping the long weekend would never end, but it did. So sad! It’s ok, it’s storming outside now, so it’s not like I’m missing good weather! Anyway, thanks for the debate Scoble! It’s been fun to have some back and forth on the topic, without it getting personal. I’ll admit I can see…
