Basketball Jones…

I met up with my wife for lunch today. The food was provided free by the East Tennessee State Alumni Association. She’s an alum. The team is staying two blocks from my work, which is where they had their pregame pep rally type event this morning. They are in town to take on Cincinnati in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

I’m not an alum but I will be rooting hard for ETSU this afternoon. (In between my busy work projects, of course *wink, wink* *nudge, nudge*) I’ll be rooting for them because, well it will make my wife happy if they win, they just gave me a free lunch, being an Ohio State fan, saying “Go Bucks” and rooting against Cincy comes pretty naturally anyway, even if it is “Bucs” (Buccaneers) instead of “Bucks” (Buckeyes), and did I mention the free food, and the happy wife? Yeah, you see what I’m saying…

Go Bucks Bucs!

Wow, I’m exhausted, and it’s only 9AM. We actually had a good weekend, but a very busy, social weekend for us. Friday night we had my brother, sister in law and their three year old over to watch the HS football game that takes place across the street from our house this time of year….

  • Email Gateway article

This article really says it all about virus alerts coming from email gateways. After blocking a flood of Mydoom e-mails, it spams users with alerts that create a general panic. That’s true even in small offices. You’ve got other email gateways sending back virus warnings in response to emails with spoofed “from” addresses as well…

  • This made me laugh

From a link at PC Doctor, under the heading of Email annoyances, I followed along to this post and laughed especially hard at this one: “The 18-line sig about all the Bad Things that will happen to me if I ever reveal the contents of your privileged, confidential (and unencrypted) message” As any law-firm IT…
