Trillian

Hey, there’s a new patch, I think, that fixes the Yahoo “problem”. I’ve been away all day so I don’t know the details but I know I couldn’t connect to Yahoo yesterday, I went and looked for an update today, installed it, and now I can connect to Yahoo.

Where have I been all day? I spent 3 hours this morning in a meeting discussing business ethics, ran straight from that meeting to the hospital, where my wife was getting a CAT scan done, and spent most of the afternoon awaiting those results. (She’s going to be fine, probably a viral infection, I’ll leave it up to her to share what she wants on her blog.)

I’ve had funner days. 🙂

This article really says it all about virus alerts coming from email gateways. After blocking a flood of Mydoom e-mails, it spams users with alerts that create a general panic. Looks like Jevon is back among the bloggers again. Nice to see him back! He’s got a post about Real-time blogging and outlining that’s interesting. (permalinks, Jevon? I couldn’t find one) In a nutshell, he wants to use an outliner on his blog because that’s how he tackles technical learning, by writing out an idea,…

  • I hate ticketmaster

Since Angela had other plans this morning, it fell to me to hop online at 10AM to order her a couple of tickets to see the Dixie Chicks in June. No problem, it shouldn’t be that big a deal to order a couple of tickets from Ticketmaster, right? I’ve done it before for hockey tickets,…

I know, I know. I promised you more details on the various tools I used trying to clean up that trojan/spyware infection last week, but wouldn’t you know if, I had yet another friend with computer problems. I made a quick house call after work on Friday to discover the reason that her wireless mouse/keyboard…
