Outlook

This may be the largest collection of Outlook/Exchange links in one place, anywhere. It’s certainly the largest I’ve ever seen….

As an update to yesterday’s post, I wound up just going to the Windows Update site and updating the XP machines here. There’s only a couple of them, that takes a lot less time than trying to figure out why the automatic updates didn’t work. Next month, (or next patch)I’m going to simply leave it be and check a few days later. Perhaps Josh’s suggestion (in the comments) that the servers were simply too busy for completed downloads is correct. Only way to find out is to let it go and see if it works a few days after the fact.

Besides I have other things to accomplish right now. 🙂

Andy’s post today reminded me of a similar experience I had. I submitted a resume in response to an ad on a nationwide job board. Actually a reputable one at that, but obviously they don’t control everyone who posts jobs there. Within minutes of sending the resume in response I got an email, letting me…

I am officially a stud, according to Google: Search for “do that to me one more time i can never get enough of a man like you” Someone actually searched for that, and actually came here. I’ve been keeping busy with some little projects, things like adding the Friends in Tech logo to the top of the page, to officially “flag” myself as a member of that group as well as thinking about ways to leverage the group resources there to benefit the readers here and visa versa, or adding Google…

Josh has run into that wonderful bit of managerial incompetence known as “no planning skills” He assumes that some people just don’t know what a plan is. I’ll go you one better Josh, have you ever had someone hand you a memo with the “Plan” on it and noticed that two of the intermediate steps…

  • Afternoon

That re-application of NT Service Pack 6 seems to have done the trick on that PC. I even managed to get that mini-cd out of there and the CD drive put back together again without damaging the drive, which I wasn’t feeling too confident about going in, I must admit. I have the printers and…
