Rootkit scanner

Found via last night’s Tech Support Alert newsletter, F-Secure has made available a beta version of Backlight, a rootkit scanner/revealer for free, until July 1, 2005. This is a great chance to scan all of your home PC’s for free over the next couple of weeks. I’d have to recommend taking advantage of that!

Maybe “toughing it out until 5” wasn’t the best idea I’ve ever had. In my weakened mental state I think I just agreed to do some on-the-side consulting work for an organization that I’m not all that fond of dealing with as part of my regular job! Oh well, it’s one machine, a couple of…

After reading this though, I might have to at least give version 10 and their…

  • Back to work

Not only is it the end of the 4 day weekend, it’s also the first of the month. That leaves me with a ton of things to get caught up at work, all while trying to get back in the swing of things. I was most definitely not in the swing of things this morning….
