Big Bride?

Seriously, is McBride that uncommon of a name? Sadly, the rest of the dinner experience pretty much matched the inability to get the name. I had never been to a Rainforest Cafe before this, and well, I guess the next time we’re in a town that has one, we’ll know better.

Other than that we had a really great time in San Francisco. I highly recommend taking the evening Alcatraz tour, you get some great views of the bay at sunset and the skyline at night, and when it’s dark, the cell house is just a little spooky. More pictures to come.

Also, you can’t go wrong when you see 15 wireless networks from your hotel room at the corner of Lombard and Van Ness, can you? Most were secured, but not all. Of course, since the hotel had free wifi, I felt no need to pry into those other open networks for bandwidth.

This guy really doesn’t like some IT people. I’d have to agree with him in some sense, I’ve run into far too many people who are convinced that technology “X” is THE thing our office needs who’ve never even set foot in our office or bothered to figure out what we do, let alone where…

Picked up this story at Download Squad the other day, about a Firefox Extension that will run an Internet Explorer engine inside one of your Firefox tabs. Yesterday was almost an entire day trudging through the world of faulty DNS records, broken telephone cords, unexplained inability to dial outside, which just as suddenly started working again, a lost internet connection that kept me from updating our website database, and various other semi-emergencies. I was so busy putting out fires that when 3PM…

It appears that Angela’s blog is back up. I assume that means everything’s been moved and is working at the new location, but I could very easily be wrong about that. 🙂 Follow these topics: Uncategorized

  1. I agree about the Rainforest Café. We have one at the Mall of America, and it’s a lot of waiting for not much. The most they have going for them is the atmosphere and that’s about it.

  2. This one had a surly manager who didn’t do anything but argue with me and eventually offer a dessert when faced with complaints about the quality of the food.
