Digital Media Nirvana

ByMike McBride September 29, 2006July 21, 2014 Reading Time: 1 minute

This is the control room at the brand new WOSU@COSI, a hands-on learning TV and Radio studio. Last night, Angela and I were lucky enough to attend a preview gala, complete with a tour of the facilities, a few PBS and NPR celebs and part of the Ohio State marching band (aka TBDBITL). I was really impressed with the tech of this place, and I think it’ll be a great lab for students learning about digital media and broadcasting.

ByMike McBride January 1, 2005 Reading Time: 1 minute

Personally I spent about 4 hours at work, yay me! I knew I had to run a couple of cables in the drop ceiling because one of the offices that we are moving someone into next week isn’t wired properly. I figured on maybe 2 hours or so, running the cable, moving PC’s and doing…

Thunderbird
ByMike McBride December 4, 2003July 19, 2014 Reading Time: 1 minute

Since the Office beta expired I took advantage of the fact that I needed to uninstall all of it to switch my email client over to Thunderbird. It’s always interesting to try new stuff. I can tell you one thing I don’t like already. It creates a new set of folders for each account instead…
