We’re back!

Turns out we had no internet connection the entire time we were in Gatlinburg. Sorry for the lack of updates, but I’ll be sure to get up to speed quickly, I hope. We had a great time, and got some really beautiful pictures from our hike in the Smoky Mountains on Sunday. They will be up soon, at least some of them. Highlights were the Grotto Falls hike, the Aquarium, the bookstore in Pigeon Forge where I found four books I’ve been wanting to read for the grand total of $23, and the Chocolate Margarita Mousse desert at No Way Jose’s Cantina. (Yummy!)

The books I picked up at Foozles? The Bombast Transcripts: Rants and Screeds of RageBoy., The Future and Its Enemies , Coercion : Why We Listen to What ‘They’ Say, and A+ Exam Notes : Core Module. (Yeah I need to pick up a certification sometime this summer to enhance my future job search, A+ seems like the place to start.)

It’s now 7:13PM, we’ve been back in town for a few hours and I’m already at work, replacing a bad hard drive. I’m still technically on vacation, but I wanted to come and do this tonight and not have it to deal with first thing in the morning. I guess you could say I’m dedicated, or insane. They’re both pretty accurate.*L*

By the way, I got a lenghty email from Morbus in response to my desired aggregator features. Some of it explains how to do some of that now. No time to really get into it yet, but I’m truly looking forward to it!

As you can see from Angela’s post about our trip to the Newport Aquarium, little Dylan seemed to have the best time when she gave him her digital camera and let him wonder around taking pictures. They’re not too shabby for a 3 year old. Anyway, she and I are thinking of trying to find…

Via Eclectism this morning I see what may be the coolest use of Movable Type to date, at least in my opinion. The posting of circa 1985 Dead Milkmen Tour Stories! That’s defintely an addition to the news aggregator. While I missed them in Columbus in 1985 I did catch them at the Newport Music…

  • New Bloglines Feature

This is actually a pretty good idea. Allow people to claim their feeds on Bloglines and when the time comes to move the feed to another location, you can change the feed on Bloglines and they’ll automatically point all the subscribers to the new feed. That’s not bad. Tags: Bloglines Follow these topics: Uncategorized
