Hardware afterall

Turns out the laptop is a hardware issue afterall, only not with the mouse or the touchpad, seems to be a motherboard issue. Compaq is picking it up this afternoon and taking it in to be fixed under warranty. Thank God for warranties, I didn’t really want to replace the motherboard myself, too many other things to do. 🙂

Now I’ve got to get files copied over to the spare laptop for that person to use for about a week, I’m sure he’ll be thrilled about that!

By the way, I couldn’t help but notice all of the MSKB articles and other support sites who had the following instructions for what to do when your mouse isn’t working. “Double Click the Mouse icon in the Control Panel”. Think about that for a minute…:)
