I’m not trying to say anything bad about my readers…

Since I announced that extra $$ from the Amazon links would be going to Prevent Child Abuse, I’ve had 47 people click through to Amazon from here, which is quite higher than normal, but not a single one of them actually ordered anything. You do all realize that you have to actually buy something for some of the $$ to go to charity, right? 😉

I don’t have any orders for the One Man IT Dept. Store either, but I also don’t know how many of you clicked through there. Cafepress is starting their holiday sale, so you might want to take a look before I decide to close it down due to lack of interest. (Cafepress came out awhile ago and stated that they might start taking down stores with no sales for a long time, assuming that they were no longer in use. I expect that mine might fall into that category at some point, so if you want something, you should probably get cracking!)

On the other hand, maybe I should be talking to someone at Dell about getting a cut from Kevin’s Axim X5 purchase

I’ve been watching the comments on Scoble’s post since I posted my early thoughts this afternoon. I had another thought that came to mind this evening as I read through the comments. • New release, new name

I completely agree with what Andy had to say about Firebird being renamed, again, to Firefox and the new release. I actually went through 4-5 posts in my aggregator that talked about Firefox 0.8 being released before I saw Andy’s post and realized that was actually Firebird’s new name! A couple of interesting things seen in newsletters today. First there’s today’s Spyware Info Weekly which talks about accusations of reverse engineering and fraud among different anti-spyware apps. Interesting stuff, I think we’d all do well to make sure we aren’t using a fake spyware killer. Then, from today’s LangaList comes a pointer to Fred’s…
