Things you don’t want your tech guy to say

From the Mac guy a few minutes ago:

“If that’s wrong it shouldn’t have run at all. I can’t understand how that happened?”.

I can’t wait to hear more from him. 🙂

Update: Those of you with Macs will probably get this more than I do, but the problems were a corrupt system folder, and corrupt fonts, and Pagemaker needed to be reinstalled, and Distiller needed to be reinstalled and patched, etc. etc. All in all, almost 4 hours of tech support time. After all of that, however, the Pagemaker file that our Graphics guy has spent over a week working on is still fudged. Both the “in progress” and backup copies of it are corrupt in some way that all of that did not fix. Looks like he’s going to have to start over on that file. Poor guy.

  • Now that’s irritating

You know what really, really irritates me? When someone asks me for something and mentions how they need me to email it to them right away, and then I find that they don’t even check their email for it, and probably won’t actually need it for days. I may just have to re-institute a 2-3…

After over 3500 miles in eight days last week, my car picked today on the 2 mile drive home from work to start having issues. The “check engine” light popped on. I’m sure it’s probably nothing, but the timing of it right after the long trip makes me worry just a little. It’s still under…

I spent part of last night making some template renovations around here, if you actually come to the site to read this, you’ve probably noticed them already. First thing, I took out the blogrolls, except for the list of people I’m actually related to, and replaced them with a link to my subscriptions on Bloglines,…
