Disconnect

So not only was I home sick yesterday, but our cable internet went on the fritz for a good part of the afternoon, and then, just as I was getting used to having it back, we discovered that the phone was dead. Talk about feeling out of it! It’s very possible that we will be telephone-less until Monday. Gee what a great time to be sending out resumes with my home phone number on them!!! Here’s hoping they use the email address instead. 😉

Speaking of out of it, someone here at work got a virus warning passed along from their spouse’s workplace. The workplace in question sent the warning out as an attached Word document telling them to be careful not to open any strange or unexpected attachments…

    Video Webinars – Maybe Not

Today was a first for me. I tuned in to my first “video” webinar, a webinar where you could actually see the presenter as they talked, and follow along with the slides in a separate area. It was ILTA and Orange Technology’s Amazing Discoveries, Amazing Results webinar with Tom O’Connor and Brett Burney. (Hit the…

They claimed that she must have cookies turned off and that was why. She came screaming to me about turning her cookies off, which I never…

  • Blogger vs. MT

We’ve talked about this before, and now that I’ve had a day or two to mess around with MT on the new domain, I’m even more convinced of this truth. Blogger and MT are simply different things for different people. Yes MT is probably more powerful as far as being able to tweak and add…

  • Blogger comments

I was just over reading Mike Sanders’ blog, and the comments therein when I realized that both of the commenters, when I hovered over their names, instead of being the URL for their site, it was a link to their Blogger profile. Then, when I clicked the “leave a comment” link the page that was…

  • More ISP junk

Well it defintely seems that our ISP has done some new things with their Spam filtering, but I have no idea what. I just got some things figured out in the last few weeks, like the fact that we couldn’t email anyone coming from an Asian host and they couldn’t email us, but now there’s…
