Email

Not sure if it’s related to the blaster worm or not, but email to this domain is not being delivered right now, and hasn’t been since at least sometime this afternoon. I don’t know if it’ll bounce eventually or get to me eventually, but if you’re awaiting a response from me, don’t hold your breath. *sigh*

On the other hand, her brother has managed to get Angela’s site back up so you can now see her DC pictures!

Update Weds. 8/13 12:23PM -email seems to be working now. I’m getting all of this morning’s messages but nothing from yesterday. Hosting company says there was a spooling problem on the mail server, I guess they gave it some spool softener and that got things flowing again. 😉

Reading Ben Hammersley led me to the just released NewsMonster which is yet another news aggregator! I might have to give this one a try. It works with Mozilla and uses Java, so it will work in any OS, and it claims to render most major news sites, even if they don’t have an RSS…

“All I did was try to download a Solitaire game from the Internet” Anyone who’s ever helped someone clean up a spyware infestation knows exactly what I’m talking about. One “innocent” little game came complete with 8 toolbars, 4 startup executables, 3 advertising generators, multiple registry entries, random processes and, ironically enough, an anti-spam program that…

  • Good point

Good point, Geek. I actually never even considered a blog-silence to coincide with the Internet Radio Day of Silence, and I was simply too busy to report on it the way I wanted to today, but I do think the CARP ruling is important information. The RIAA and major media is trying to kill internet…
