IT tip of the week

From Alex Scoble: Don’t pack rat!

This is a good idea. Here’s an example, I started this job and moved into this office about 6 years ago. The person who held this postion previously, was a big time pack rat. I have never been able to fully divest myself of some of his stuff. I was so new to IT that I figured if he kept it, there must of been a reason. Six years later I still have cables, and disks and manuals that I have never used in my office. Less than I used to, but there are still some lying around. Maybe I’ll actually be rid of all of them by the time I leave here. 🙂
