Busy, busy..

I’ll be over here most of today, leafing through the latest Microsoft updates, 7 total, 2 critical. Then I’m going to go over here and check out a spellchecker Firefox extension, thanks to a recommendation from Geek News Central.

In between, I’ll be helping set up a PowerPoint presentation for a meeting, dealing with some database stuff, and generally answering all the little questions that come up during a typical day. Don’t you wish you were me? 🙂

  • Is AI on the Internet of Things Path?

    The real question is not whether they add it but how. The Internet of Things created many insecure devices because people slapped an internet connection on things that weren’t needed without considering making them safe or usable. Networks got hacked through fish tanks, and people were terrorized by someone taking control of their smart homes. Forcing internet connections on everything turned out not to be so great. 

    Will forcing AI into everything have a similar result?

    Microsoft Releases Windows Server 2003 To Manufacturing. Hmm, I think I’ll have to keep an eye on how this works out for early adopters, if I can find any. 🙂 If nothing else, it would be nice to grab a demo copy of this and see how it works for myself. I’ll have to settle…

    Yeah I had to take the referrer script down again. At least now I know why the results keep stretching the table width to ridiculous proportions. If a website does not specify a page name, the script prints out the entire URL. Since there’s no space in the URL the table doesn’t try to wrap…
