In the email this morning

An announcement from BrainBench:

BIG CHANGES ARE COMING TO BRAINBENCH IN JULY!

* All tests in the Branbench library will be FREE from July 1 – July 14

* On July 8, a new capability will be added to your account whereby employers can leave their e-business card with you

* Over the years you have asked for greater employer exposure – well, starting July 15, employers will have FREE access to our database of interested jobseekers

* All this in celebration of member 5 million last month!

For what it’s worth, I do hold a couple of the free brainbench cetrifications. I don’t think they’re worth a whole lot per se, but I felt like having their tech support certs in addition to the A+ certification made for a more well-rounded certification section of my resume than just the A+. (Which reminds me, I should probably get to work on either the Network+ or an MCP exam sometime soon.)I guess I’m saying it couldn’t hurt, if they’re letting you take all of their tests for free, to take a look. I’m more interested to see what this exposure of interested jobseekers will accomplish though. You can bet I’ll be keeping an eye on that.
