Change of plans

I wound up getting disinvited to the Board meeting today. Turns out they invited 12 staff people on top of the 50 or so Board members who were going to be there, and only had a conference room that holds 55 people. Since I only found out yesterday, and had nothing else planned for today, this turned into a free day to read all the stuff I’ve been pointing to this week. This is good. It’ll keep me from having to read it at home on my own time, which is espcially nice since Angela’s coming home today and I’m looking forward to being with my wife tonight, not reading about Service Pack 2!

I did get to try and install StatCounteX yesterday, and then this morning found the version that adds password protection to the stats, which I was rather disappointed wasn’t there to begin with. Turns out it was a user uploaded version. There wasn’t much in the way of documentation, I guess that’s a hazard of…

Random things I learned driving around the country last week: No matter where you are in the US, if you hit the scan button on the radio you will inevitably find these three things: 1. A “Real Classic Rock” station that plays far too much Zeppelin, Kansas and Skynyrd. 2. A just plain “classic rock”…

  • Speaking of laptops

You know what I discovered when I went to setup some things on that laptop so someone could use it today? The last person to take it out returned it sans power adapter! Since the battery is not charged, it’s pretty much useless until we either find it, or order a replacement. (I don’t have…
