SP2 to the test

Today should be the first time since I’ve updated the handful of XP machines in the office that automatic updates will come into play with Microsoft’s monthly security bulletins coming late yesterday. They’re set to notify the end user that new updates are avaialble. That setting was a guess at what would work best, if it confuses too many people to get those notifications, I’ll switch that to fully automated download/install. I just have to make sure I go get them and test them as soon as they’re available, which I have already for these. I have no doubt about my expectations of how the PC’s will act, it’s more a test of how my end-users will react. 🙂
