Pleasant Sunday Afternoon

Dawes Lake

This is one of the photos I got while Angela and I were exploring Dawes Arboretum this afternoon. It was a sunny, albeit slightly windy, day and we took advantage of the weather to get out and spend some time with nature.

Spending the afternoon here was a great way to spend time together, get a little exercise, take some photos (And play with the new 55-200mm zoom lens I picked up for the Nikon D50, more photos on on my flickr page), and just generally set aside our every day worries. Not a bad Sunday at all.

We didn’t get back from the in-laws until late yesterday evening. • April Fool’s

After reading about how AOL bought out the rights to a bunch of popular bloggers today, I realize that there is absolutely nothing I can put up here that anyone is likely to take seriously. (Of course, how seriously do you take me any other day? *L*) While I prefer to think of this day…

Like AVG, there is a version that is free for personal use, and there’s a paid “Pro” version with a bit more functionality. Apparently this…

This is just a note to those of you who may wander over here from the Child Abuse site. There’s a problem with the MySQL backend right now that prevents me from posting anything new, and you from leaving comments. (A Perl mod somehow isn’t installed anymore when it had been working fine until yesterday,…

  • Add another organization to the hate list.

The list of stupid business practices got one longer yesterday afternoon, when the Small Business Survival Committee (SBSC) decided that since one person who works here signed up for their newsletter, it would be perfectly acceptable to scrape our website for email addresses and send it to everyone. Have you ever seen what a 3MB…
