I think this post pretty much sums out why using on-line apllications makes me nervous, even though I do use quite a few, but I take careful steps to make sure I have backups of everything that’s on-line and don’t share anything with an on-line application that I wouldn’t want you all to know about. I’ve been having on and off problems connecting to Yahoo using Trillian, looks like maybe Yahoo is playing games with trillian users now.
