Has Dell started to engage?

They seem to be at least trying to engage bloggers and participate in the conversations about their products that are going on. I got this email today:

Good Morning Mike,

I am writing in regards to your post http://www.mikemcbrideonline.com/2006/08/dell-recall.html. I am more than happy to answer any questions regarding your Dell affected battery(s). If you have arranged for the battery replacements, I can provide a order status update. Please feel free to email me directly.

Now granted, our replacements have already arrived and are in place, so I have no complaints, but it’s nice to know they’re listening.

Update:Adam Gaffin, over at Network World, linked to this post, and pretty quickly got a comment from someone at Dell, they certainly are listening!
