Call me Mr. On-Call
I know, I know. I promised you more details on the various tools I used trying to clean up that trojan/spyware infection last week, but wouldn’t you know if, I had yet another friend with computer problems. I made a quick house call after work on Friday to discover the reason that her wireless mouse/keyboard set had quit working actually, wasn’t for all the reasons I suspected a wireless system to not work, but because the PS2 ports that it was connected to had died on her system! Luckily I had a PS2-USB connector laying around unused, so once I diagnosed the problem, getting her back working was no problem. Plugged into the USB port, everything worked like a charm again.
Anyway, I had spent 4 nights in a row working on friend’s computers (after working all day supporting users as well). I was burnt out. I needed to spend some time doing something other than working on PC’s. Luckily for me, I had tickets to the Ohio State game yesterday, which happened to be the 70th anniversary of Script Ohio:
Today, we went up to Findlay to visit with Angela’s family, where we caught a glimpse of some early fall colors just starting to appear.
So, there are copious notes and thoughts running around my head that will, eventually turn into some details on my spyware battles. I’m just asking for some patience. 🙂

I enjoyed the game myself.
I just wasn’t on-call. The wife was dealing with the twins that week.
