SmartSetr

Kevin Devin has a nice screencast over at Friends in Tech showing off a little tool he found from Eric Appel called SmartSetr that lets you create dynamic sets on Flickr by tag or date, etc. I’ll definitely be taking a look at that one soon.

Another tool that I might take a look at if I get some free time to play is something called LeafLetter that I saw reference over at Cleverhack today. This is a tool to create web “leaflets” that can be embedded on your blog or social network sites.

ByMike McBride December 9, 2010December 9, 2010 Reading Time: 1 minute

Interesting, given my recent post about switching to Microsoft Security Essentials, one of our home PC’s was infected with a drive-by download of Antivirus Action. As much as I would have normally lectured my wife about using Internet Explorer, in this case she had to use it to access certain work-related tools, including getting full…

ByMike McBride September 3, 2008July 21, 2014 Reading Time: 1 minute

Many of you techies out there probably already have seen the PC Weenies comic on-line. I admit to being a pretty avid follower of it myself. Today, Krishna shared that he’s doing some artwork as a way to raise money for a friend of his who has been fighting cancer. Yesterday I blogged about the…

The Tweetup that turned into the Discovery Channel
ByMike McBride November 19, 2008July 20, 2014 Reading Time: 3 minutes

Today, I had the freedom to skip out of work (due to the overtime on Sunday/Monday) and go to the November Columbus Tweetup – Tour of Ohio Stadium. Despite the cold, there was a pretty good turn out. Probably the fact that there was an OSU-Michigan ticket giveaway helped there, eh? Anyway, after some socializing,…

Frozen Expedition
ByMike McBride February 10, 2007July 19, 2014 Reading Time: 1 minute
