2003 Server Launch

Was interesting. Mostly just marketing hype BS, but some interesting demo’s of stuff that you can do with Server 2003 and Visual Studio .Net. The most exciting thing for me, and I’m sure all other people who do help desk work is the “Shadow Copy” feature that lets you revert back to a previous version of a document if you accidentally save over it. That could save quite a bit of support time! Imagine, not having to pull stuff off tape every time someone screwed up a document? *L*

Every poor manager I’ve ever dealt with has been a poor communicator. Almost every shortcoming or problem I’ve seen people have with a manager or coworker could be filed under a problem with communication. It’s THE thing in the workplace. Rick Klau has some interesting comments about Gmail. I do think this is just the beginning for where Google is headed with this. I envision big things. Quiet blog today, I’m having one of those “Do any of you people even pay attention to what goes on around here, or do you just wait for me to do it for you?” mornings…. Sometimes trying to be good at your job, and staying on top of things, just isn’t worth it when no…

  • Added functionality

I’ve added the “Email this post” function that Blogger has made available to it’s users. I’m not sure I’ll keep it, but I was in the mood to experiment. If you click the little envelope after this post, it’ll bring you to a page on blogger.com that will let you send a message with a…
