Weird IT question of the day

When you work in IT, not only do you have to answer questions about PC’s, but sometimes you even get to figure out why the two-letter abbreviation for Quebec that someone wrote as their address, QC, is not what the database will accept as the proper abbreviation for Quebec. You would think that if someone living there abbreviated it QC the database would surely do the same, right? You’d be wrong. It will only accept PQ, which I assume is the French language version of it.

How much you want to bet that months from now, someone’s going to ask me where that stupid PQ came from? 🙂

So I’ve been trying out both the free version and the Status version of MSGTAG. Here’s my thoughts on the subject. Does it do what it sets out to do? Yes, when you download the program and enable tagging, there’s an HTML footer added to the end of your messages. In the free version it’s…
