What a week…

I don’t think I’ve ever been so glad to have a week over with. There’s just been so much turmoil and stress involved with work this week that it will be so nice just to have a couple of days where I don’t have to be here!

I did discover today that there wasn’t a delay in hiring a new person, it was just that no one bothered to tell me until today that she starts Monday. Nothing like trying to get accounts and a PC setup when I had already scheduled so many other things that needed to get done today! But things went well and one of my coworkers did a great job of getting stuff done that she was unfamiliar with without needing too much help from me, and everything got accomplished. I’m going to bask in the relief of knowing we got everything done today that needed to get done despite the odds this weekend. I’ll worry about what all we need to get done Monday, on Monday.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

I’m not an electrician, so…

Well yesterday they announced beta support for Atom feeds as well. (No permalinks, but it’s on the…

  • Microsoft Lists Apps Affected by XP SP2

Thanks to Microsoft Watch we now have a pointer to a KB article listing apps that they know will have problems with SP2. Gee Symantec Corporate edition 8 is on there. That’s one of ours, although the work-around seems simple enough. Guess I’ll find out for sure soon enough. Follow these topics: Uncategorized

  • Spam as entertainment..

For purposes of telling this story, names have been changed to protect the innocent. One of the people I work with, Chuck, got fooled into opening a spam email today, because the “sender” name was someone else who works here, Bob. It was a “hi I’d like to go out sometime check out my profile…

Hey, why didn’t anyone tell me the template tags weren’t correct and the new comments weren’t working? Oh yeah, probably because no one could leave a comment, huh? Should be fixed now. Tags: Comments Follow these topics: Uncategorized
