So, if there’s science behind the idea that angry/negative people can be bad for your brain, does working on a helpdesk constitute a mental health risk? 😉

I’m kidding, but there is something rather serious to think about. If you can’t learn to not take things personally and let things roll off your back so to speak, I don’t think you can last in a tech support type of position very long. Know yourself before you start down that path.

It’s one of the keys to suicide prevention too.

    If work gets in the way of this happening, if abusive relationships or stigma get in the way, it can have fatal consequences.

    As we consider what the future of our workplaces should be, we’d do well to remember that our people have lives outside of work and are better off when they can enjoy the people in their lives outside of work.
