Online Tonight

ByMike McBride January 13, 2002July 22, 2015 Reading Time: 1 minute

Just went back to visit the Online Tonight Blog , to see what they’ve been discussing on the show, and discovered that they have the shows available as MP3’s. I know I’ll be streaming that bad boy in the background tomorrow while I’m working!

I have no idea if this is true or not, but it is interesting and funny!

Personally, I’m looking at a rather lazy Sunday with the wife. Sometimes we both really enjoy just hanging around the house together and reading the Sunday paper, catching whatever movie may be on cable, etc. It’s a nice little respite from our normally busy lives. She’s making my favorite dinner too, chicken parm. She’s so good to me! 🙂

BTW, I don’t want to work tomorrow, I’m not in the mood for dealing with the politics. I want to stay home and be lazy like this again!

Putting Lifetime Replacement of Luggage to the Test
ByMike McBride March 26, 2016March 25, 2016 Reading Time: 1 minute

Travel enough, and luggage handlers or the TSA will damage your luggage. There’s simply no way around it. So when L.L. Bean sells me luggage with a lifetime replacement guarantee, and less than four months later, this is the result, I wonder how this is going to work out for the rest of my lifetime….

The latest trip to Richmond was not only a great time spent catching up with family I don’t get to see nearly often enough, it was also a chance to get out and shoot some photos. Coming back, it became a great chance to play around with the Lightroom 3.0 beta that I have been…

Technical Mystery

When we moved into our new place at the end of October, and it turns out that the only available cable TV/internet bundle available to us is through Charter. It would not have been my first choice, given experiences I’ve heard from others, but it is what it is. I had U-Verse in my apartment,…

Missed opportunity
ByMike McBride March 2, 2007July 19, 2014 Reading Time: 1 minute

So Angela and I scored some passes to the premiere of Zodiac earlier this week. It was a pretty good, intense, dramatic kind of movie. But I felt like something was missing. See, towards the end of the movie Jake Gyllenhaal’s character becomes completely obsessed with finding out who the Zodiac Killer is, and “solving…

That’s alot for one morning
ByMike McBride October 30, 2001July 22, 2015 Reading Time: 1 minute

As far as work went, well, naturally we had a computer get a corrupted registry, one with an improper install of Office 2000, which no one found because the bad install was in Publisher and no one had ever tried to use it until Monday. And another problem discovered when I was trying to install…

Social Media Birthdays
ByMike McBride July 4, 2015July 2, 2017 Reading Time: 2 minutes

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve never been able to have the traditional kid birthday party, because inevitably, people had other plans with their families over the 4th of July holiday. I’ve had a lot of memorable birthdays over the last 47 years, and really I never have to work in my birthday, so…
