Email hoax

Have you, or anyone you support gotten the “You have until July 1st to opt-out of having credit bureaus share information with anyone, etc…” email? I’ve had a couple of people here get it, since it’s that time of year again, closing in on July 1. I’ve been pointing them to this link.

By the way, the new version actually tells you to ignore option 1 when you call, even though that option specifically mentions that email. That might be a hint that this is bogus, huh?
